My work investigates the failure of technology to accurately document our lives. In recent years, I have been particularly concerned with the challenges of documenting drag shows in ways which accurately reflect the atmosphere and mood which are central to these events. In doing so, I have created my own methods for scanning videos, creating works which feel like memories rather than accurately depicting events as they happened. I am interested in experimenting with the boundaries of various technologies, and I have a long-standing interest in semi-automatic processes, such as scanning, risograph printing, and digital media. I am particularly interested in what happens when these kinds of technologies fail to do what they are supposed to.
